Strength Training Equipment Reviews

Strength training equipment works by increasing your muscle strength giving you stronger bones, and easier time lifting heavy boxes and helping to tone your body.

There are many strength training equipment reviews online that describe the types of strength training equipment available but few discuss how the equipment works to increase your muscle strength.

Basically when you lift weights you are asking the muscles in say your arms to carry a certain load. The tendons and ligaments of your body attach your muscle to your bones for structure. A muscle is composed of many fibers with blood vessels and nerves and some fat all bundled together. When a nerve gets the signal to lift from your brain it transit’s the signal to the muscles in your arms, which then contract. The amount of weight that your contracted muscle can safely lift depends on the thickness of the muscle fibers.

After an effective work out you will notice some muscle fatigue (if you experience a lot of fatigue that’s a bad thing and means you did a lot of damage to your muscle) this means that some of the fibers in your muscle tore, which is normal. Your muscle will work over the next couple of days to rebuild your torn fibers and make them thicker in response to the weight you lifted. The fibers tend to thicken towards the middle of your muscle which is what gives it that nice round swell when you work out regularly. Depending on the amount of lifting you ask your muscle to do you can get it to increase more and more. It’s important to remember to increase the weight that you lift gradually. As mentioned before you lift too much weight and you could cause a lot of tearing and possibly hurt a ligament or tendon. Be sure to check out strength training equipment reviews online.
